Reiki for Animals

What animals are right for Animal Reiki?

Any and all animals benefit from Reiki. Healthy animals receive Reiki to maintain good health, and enjoy deep relaxation and emotional sense of peace and contentment.

For animals who are ill, deep relaxation and relief contributes to their recovery and healing. Reiki is an effective, safe complement to other treatments such as veterinary medicine, acupuncture, and homeopathy, and can reduce the side effects of medication and chemotherapy.

Sometimes animals will seem “not their usual” or may have a new or long-standing behavior that needs attention. Because of Reiki's gentle and intuitive nature, it is especially effective in understanding and treating a range of physical and behavioral concerns, especially where other treatments haven't achieved the desired outcome.

For suffering or dying animals, Reiki provides powerful and gentle comfort, pain relief, and ease of fear, and anxiety. Reiki is a wonderful way to help the transition to death while also supporting a dying animal's family.

What is Animal Reiki?

Animal Reiki is an ideal natural therapy for animals because it is gentle, noninvasive and doesn't require physical contact. It doesn't cause stress, discomfort, or pain, and yet provides powerful healing of emotional, behavioral, and physical illnesses and injuries.

What is a typical appointment?

An Animal Reiki appointment is typically an hour, and includes the often detailed animal communication received during the session. The animal may wander, sit, or sleep during a session, and this is totally normal. The animal decides how to receive the energy (and the practitioner uses intuition, common sense, and patience). Reiki requires no change in your pet's routine or location, and the animal is able to simply receive healing Reiki with no stress.

Can you treat my pet and me at the same time?

There is a synergy between animals and their people, and it can certainly be beneficial to treat both in a session.
